Now that my chores are finished I can tell you a bit about myself... Starting with chores! My {Wonderful} Husband and I were discussing the perfect wife... I began by telling him what I thought he thought it was... and that is a "good housekeeper". He instantly said he disagreed and said he thinks it's a "Proverbs 31" wife. So then we read several versions to see if any of them said anything about cleaning... :) Well, I have to say we didn't see anything referencing cleaning in-particular. {My husband and I talk a lot about "life" - this discussion would fall in that category.}
My priorities are God, Family, Fun! I start my day off with getting my daughter up and while she's drinking her morning milk I read my devotional, then we have family time {my husband works nights}. After my baby is sleeping soundly and I finish up my daily chore, I have a little fun. Which may include crafting, sewing, scrapbooking, reading or watching a movie. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of fun that happens during "family time" too, but my point is that before any "me time" takes place God and Family come first. I'm for sure not perfect in my own rule, I have been known to put my daughter down and make myself a hot cup of tea and start reading a good book before I finish the dishes or there are times when I never have my quiet time with the Lord that day. Regardless of which way it goes, I do know that I feel a lot better and have no guilt if I keep my priorities straight... and maybe a little bit closer to being that Proverbs 31 wife.
